Recon Energy

ABOUT RECON ENERGY

We started because too many arrays were being sold, and too few were being engineered.

Recon Energy is an independent solar EPC contractor. We design, build, own the commissioning and stay on the asset for its full life, across industrial rooftops, family homes and working farms.

OUR STORY

Founded by engineers who kept getting called out to fix other people's work.

Our founding team spent years in industrial electrical contracting. When solar arrived, they watched the same failures repeat: undersized cabling, unmodelled shading, mounting structures never checked against wind load, and inverters clipping away the very yield the customer had paid for.

Recon Energy was built to be the opposite of that. Every system starts with measurement and ends with documentation you could hand to a bank. The result is boring in the best possible way: arrays that quietly hit their numbers, year after year.

WHAT WE HOLD TO

Four rules we do not negotiate on

They cost us the occasional job. They are also why our O&M contracts renew.

01 Evidence

Measure before you quote

No system is sized from a phone call. Load data, roof survey and shadow study come first, every time.

02 Honesty

Quote the real number

We publish P50 and P90 yield. If a roof cannot support a good system, we say so and walk away.

03 Safety

Everybody goes home

Height certification, harness discipline and DC isolation procedure are non-optional on every site.

04 Ownership

We stay on the asset

Commissioning is not the finish line. Monitoring, cleaning and thermography run for the system life.

THE PEOPLE

You will deal with the same faces from survey to handover

No sales layer between you and the engineer who signs off your design.

Adnan Rafiq

Founder & Principal Engineer

Eighteen years in industrial electrical design. Signs off every commercial single-line diagram personally.

Hira Sethi

Head of Engineering

Owns yield modelling and structural review. If a P90 figure leaves this building, she approved it.

Construction Manager

Runs the install crews and the safety programme. Zero lost-time incidents across the last three years.

NEXT STEP

Want to see the engineering before you commit?

Ask us for a sample proposal from a project like yours: full array layout, yield model, bill of materials and payback. We will send it before you have signed anything.
